DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1. Almaty, Arrival
Arrival to Almaty, the Southern capital of Kazakhstan. Meeting and greeting at Almaty International airport. Transfer to Medeo gorge. Departure to Shymbulak Ski Resort by cable car. Accommodation in Shymbulak hotel.
Shymbulak Ski Resort located in the picturesque valley of the Ile-Alatau at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level and considered to be the one of the best ski bases in CIS. The resort is famous for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days, steady snow and the magnificent surrounding views. The season at Shymbulak runs from November to April, snow provided. The resort maintains a variety of routes, including the gentle and soft slopes for beginners and long runs for advanced skiers, FIS-slopes for downhill skiing, wild valleys, pristine snow and the Half-pipe for snowboarders, extreme bends for the pros, a special track for mogul. Each year the new routes appear at Shymbulak. Ski slopes of Shymbulak are certified by International Ski Federation (FIS). Chimbulak downhill and giant slalom tracks are listed among the top ten toughest trails in the world.
Days 2-4. Almaty, Shymbulak
Recreation at Shymbulak Ski Resort
Shymbulak has its own special atmosphere. Here you can see the skiers who like ironed track as well as the snowboarders who prefer extreme downhills with breathtaking jumps and turns. On sunny days Shymbulak gathers together thousands of visitors. On chairlifts you can reach Talgar Pass (3163 meters above sea level). Almaty City Tour (3 hours):
The tour starts with sightseeing in the central part of Almaty. You will know more about history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions: Central State Museum, Palace of President, Republic Square and Monument of Independence, Abai Opera and Ballet Theatre, Astana Square, Almaty Railway Station, Central Mosque, Green Bazaar, Panfilov Park, Abai Square and Palace of Republic. Then you will explore the sport, cultural and business areas of the city (Sport Palace, Central Stadium, Kazakh Circus, Wedding Palace, Auezov Drama Theatre, Almaty Towers, Nurlytau Business Center, Financial Center). During the tour you also will also visit one of the oldest Almaty park – Panfilov Park, where you will see one of the unique wooden building in the world – Zenkov Cathedral and also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country.

Day 6. Almaty
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day in Almaty.
During this day you can visit shopping malls and trade centers of the city, for example, Zangar, MEGA Almaty, Esentai Mall.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out before 12:00 noon. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
