Astana will host The 6th World Shynkyokushinkai Karate Championship in weight categories.
The championship will gather the best 196 fighters from each region and they will fight for the title of the best in the world in their weight class. Championship is held in 4 weight categories among men and women. The number of participating countries – 72.
The 6th World Karate Championship will be held on July 1-2, 2017 at Daulet Sport Complex (6/3, Kabanbai Batyr Street)
The rarest exhibition «Masterpieces of Russian Art from Private Collections of the USA» is presented in Kazakhstan for the first time.
There are 35 works in the exhibition, among them: the works of the world-famous seascapist Aivazovsky, painter and philosopher Roerich, outstanding portraitists of the XIX century Makovsky, Kharlamov, Shukhaev, avant-gardists Burliuk, Larionov, Goncharova, Exter, the brightest representative of Russian Impressionism Korovin. The audience will meet with little-known canvases by artists Malyavin, Veschalov, Sakharova, Perepletchikov, Kolesnikov.
The exhibition of famous Russian painters, who played a huge role in the history of art of the 19th and 20th centuries, is supported by the American company «The Son Mar Group», sponsors and private foundations of the United States.

The only United States museum, dedicated to the work of the Russian artist Nicholas Roerich, for the first time in Kazakhstan will present the works of the legendary artist, philosopher, traveler, archaeologist from its collection.
The exhibition "In Search of Shambhala: Masterpieces from the New York Museum of Nicholas Roerich" demonstrates the creative range of the master and includes 37 works created by the artist in his youth, and also in the 1920s-1940s.
Nicholas Roerich traveled a lot, hundreds of works were written by him on the route of the Central Asian expedition to Chinese Turkestan, Mongolia, India, Tibet and Altai. In the spring of 1926, Roerich's expedition found itself in Eastern Kazakhstan in the vicinity of Lake Zaisan. Then the expedition proceeded by boat to Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semipalatinsk, Pavlodar to Omsk.
Nicholas Roerich understood the deep significance of caravan routes for the dissemination of cultural values. The most famous ramified network of caravan roads is the Great Silk Road, linking China and medieval European states through the spaces of Central Asia and Southern Kazakhstan. The Roerich family has gone through a significant part of the Silk Road, their observations are very valuable for the exchange of peacekeeping cultural ideas.
