Rage Concert

Rage is a German heavy metal band, formed in 1984 by Peter "Peavy" Wagner. They were part of the German heavy/speed/power metal scene to emerge in the early to mid-1980s, along with bands such as Helloween, Running Wild, Blind Guardian and Grave Digger. Rage was formed in 1984 under the name Avenger. 

They tour regularly around the world and performs at the world's biggest rock festivals such as Waken Open Air, Barcelona Rock Fest, Monsters of Rock, Hellfest and others.

Nauryz Festival on Panfilov Street

In honor of Nauryz national holiday, Panfilov street will be transformed into a festival area. Many activities are expected to take place, such as:

- Special master classes for visitors

- Yurt installation

- Pottery, ceramics painting, and Ebru (painting on water)

- Felt items making, Mehndi paining, gold embroidery

- Jewelry making, glass blowing

- Traditional making of Orteke (a goat figure that’s made while playing national instrument Dombra)

- Shyrdak making (a handmade felt rug)

- Kelaghayi (Azerbaijan national women’s headgear).

And many other types of crafts!

More than 170 craftsmen and artisans will arrive to Almaty for Nauryz, from 6 different countries. They will share their secrets of craftsmanship with the visitors of the festival.

Masters from Turkey will teach you how to blow beautiful dishes out of glass. Yakut jewelers will show you how they work with precious stones. Kyrgyz masters will tell you how a horses harness is prepared. Uzbek masters of ceramic and silk painting will give out lessons. Turkmen craftswomen will weave famous Turkmen carpets. Central Asian craftsmen will show you how national musical instruments are made, and will play them afterwards. Masters from Almaty, Turkestan, Aktau and Petropavlovsk will demonstrate their products created from metal, clay, felt and wood.
