The Sleeping Beauty is a real masterpiece by P. Tchaikovsky, affecting with the power of emotional impact, artistic finds and a variety of colors. Image of this magnificent musical ballet is woven from the opposition of two themes - the Lilac Fairy and the Carabos Fairy as the confrontation between Good and Evil.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky worked on the Sleeping Beauty in constant collaboration with choreographer Marius Petipa. This wonderful performance is the result of the creative tandem of two geniuses, where music and choreography are perfectly combined. Sleeping Beauty is put on many stages of the world, and, importantly, Petipa’s brilliant choreography is always taken as its foundation, without this ballet it’s impossible to imagine a modern academic theater.

There are many versions of this ballet, but what you see in the theaters today is considered a classic example. Interest in the Sleeping Beauty has not subsided for more than a hundred years.
